Wood working is what we all love to do; wood working is creating some beautiful items. For wood working we require various tools such as:
1. Claw hammer: Everyone has used a claw hammer at some point in their lives. While there are many types, the most versatile is the claw hammer with a smooth, slightly rounded finish head. Choose one that is not too heavy, but feels good in your hand. I prefer a 20 oz. model.
2. A Layout square is an invaluable woodworking tool. Not only is it probably the quickest and easiest tool for marking a square line for an end cut, but can be used to quickly mark any angle up to 45-degrees or measure up to six inches.
3. Random orbital sander: It is one of the most basic handheld power tools. Every beginner should buy is a random orbital sander.
While palm sanders are less expensive and can use plain sandpaper, the random orbital version uses hook-and-loop fastened sanding disks, and doesn’t sand in patterns, using instead a random sanding motion. This will motion will serve to reduce the chance that any sanding marks may appear on the stock due to the sanding. Be certain that your local woodworking supplier has sanding disks readily available in a number of grits to fit the model that you choose, as the key to proper sanding is to use progressively finer grits as you sand to reduce or remove any marks that are left behind from the previous sanding.
4. Power drill: power drill shall be also a power tool which a beginner wood worker shall keep with it. A corded drill is more versatile and powerful. Corded drills are less expensive.
5. Wood blade: wood blade is required in wood working job, especially for DIY wood working, wood blade is required the most
6. Utility Knife: A Utility knife with a locking mechanism that uses disposable razor blades is another requirement for the woodworker. This versatile cutting device can be used for scribing a mark in a piece of stock, cleaning up a hinge mortise or any of a hundred other times when a knife is needed.
7. A sliding bevel: a very similar to a square, except that it can be adjusted to any angle and locked in place using a locking mechanism. This is very handy when an angle needs to be duplicated.
8. Nail Set: a nail is somewhat like a small, round chisel, but is used to sink nail heads flush or just beneath the wood’s surface.
9. A tape: A Tape is another tool that is an absolute must for any woodworker. A quality tape measure should have both Standard and Metric markings, a slightly loose hook on the end of the tape. The hook is loose on its rivets by design so the user will get accurate results whether the tape is used to take internal or external measurements.
